Situation

Pilgrim's Pride, the second largest producer of chicken, turkey and egg products (fresh and processed), in the US, Mexico and Puerto Rico, asked MarketNet to help enhance its visibility and rankings on major search engines in a highly competitive environment cluttered with direct competitors, cookbook/recipe publishers, food broadcasters, nutritionists, restaurant operators and others.

Solution

MarketNet analyzed the Client's web site, the category's search environment, key competitive sites and relevant best practices to develop a comprehensive search engine strategies program/plan. Recommended organic strategies included modifications to Client's site code, page layouts and navigation system, as well as strategies to better optimize newsletter and recipe content for search engines, and to increase links to key site content and online visibility for coupons and other offers. Paid search engine marketing strategies were also included.

Results

Pilgrim's Pride reported strong, measurable results in less than two months, including 30+% increase in overall page views compared to previous months; about a 20% increase in traffic to its career opportunities section and more than a 80% increase in visits to turkey and turkey recipe content, compared to the previous year.
