Situation

TXU is recognized as a leader in energy services. MarketNet has been providing web site production, application development, and creative solutions to TXU since 1998. TXU asked MarketNet to help extend their brand, to their web site. The challenge was to redesign the corporate web site, at the same time the re-branding strategy was being defined.

Solution

Because of the close relationship between the two companies, TXU was comfortable with MarketNet working directly with their internal marketing staff and external advertising agency. This streamlined communication and allowed for quick re-tooling of creative composites and implementation of revised creative assets.

In addition, MarketNet conducted a comprehensive usability study of the TXU corporate web site and performed a competitive analysis. This information was utilized during the development.

Results

The web site launched on time and within budget and emulated the new brand strategy. The site features a snapshot of TXU news and stock information and quick access to TXU businesses. MarketNet was also an integral part of how TXU is viewed by hundreds-of-thousands of current and potential customers.
