TXU also supports the Bush Administration’s Global Climate Change Initiatives, including

the goal of voluntarily reducing greenhouse gas intensity (the ratio of emissions to economic output) over the next ten years. As a result, the company has joined “Power Partners,” a voluntary partnership between the electric power industry and DOE to develop and implement voluntary climate actions to sustain economic growth. Through this program, TXU will be supporting the Bush Administration’s goal of voluntarily reducing greenhouse gas emission intensity 18 percent by 2012.
