reclamation work. These awards came from the Texas Mining and Reclamation Association, the Railroad Commission of Texas (the state agency with oversight of mining), and the Interstate Mining Compact Commission.

The TXU Energy Generating Division was recognized by the City of Fort Worth with their "Pretreatment Star Award" for 100 percent compliance with wastewater pretreatment requirements.

TXU's Oncor subsidiary was recognized by The National Arbor Day Foundation for the third straight year for activities

associated with caring for trees while maintaining electric transmission and distribution lines.

In addition to these awards, TXU was a finalist for 2002 in the Large Business Category for the Texas Environmental Excellence Award which is given annually by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for outstanding performance in a qualifying environmental program.
